Hi, I'm Harmaan.
I'm the Founder and Head Tutor at Prime Maths Tutoring, and I'm studying Mathematics at a top UK university.
When I was preparing for my own exams, I noticed that a lot of tutors hadn't sat a maths exam in years. Many are good teachers, but the specifications, papers and mark schemes have changed a lot since then.
So I built a team around one rule: every tutor has sat these exams in the last few years and got a 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-level in the subjects they teach. We remember what examiners look for and which topics catch people out.

How does the free introductory session work?
It's a 20 to 30 minute video call. We talk about goals, get a sense of the current level and suggest a learning plan. There's no obligation to book anything afterwards.
Which levels do you teach?
KS3 Maths (Years 7 to 9), GCSE Maths and Further Maths at Foundation and Higher, and A-level Maths and Further Maths.
Do you teach science too?
Yes. Our science tutors meet the same standard as our maths tutors: a 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-level in the subjects they teach. Mention the subject and level when you book and we'll let you know what's available.
Which exam boards do you cover?
AQA, Edexcel and OCR. If your school uses a different board, tell us and we'll adapt.
Are lessons online?
Yes. All lessons are one-to-one over Zoom, so you can be anywhere in the UK.
What happens in a typical lesson?
We go over tricky topics, practise exam-style questions and work on technique. Students leave each lesson with clear next steps.
When are lessons available?
Evenings and weekends. Tell us the days and times that suit you and we'll match you with a tutor.
How much does it cost?
£25 an hour for KS3 and GCSE (including GCSE Further Maths), £30 an hour for A-level Maths and £35 an hour for A-level Further Maths. We're running a discount at the moment, so ask about it when you book.
Is there a contract?
No. There's no long-term contract, so you can stop whenever you like.

Each shape has a prime number of sides: a triangle (3), a pentagon (5) and a heptagon (7). There's no shape for 2, the only even prime. You can't draw a shape with two straight sides anyway.
